Mission: Artistic Performance WebsiteMission: Artistic Performance

Artistic Director

One of Dr. Zona's greatest passions is working with young artists who are on the professional track and making that important transition from being a student to becoming a true artist. The M.A.P. Program consists of two intensive workshops - one for opera artists and one for musical theatre performers - held twice a year in New York. Classes, mock auditions, questions/answer sessions and individual consultations are led by prominent artistic directors, agents, coaches, conductors and choreographers. Topics that will be covered include:

Audition Techniques – repertoire, presentation, how to show off your strengths and who you are in the confines of one aria or 16 bars

Career Planning – goal setting, marketing, networking, setting yourself up as a business

Total Artistic Preparation –how to go beyond just learning the words and music in order to create believable characters, truly communicate emotion through the music and take risks, discover your unique gifts as a performer and how to present them so that you get noticed
